Frequently Asked Questions
What is your maximum capacity?
Venue maximum capacity is 280 guests in reception-style seating. This does not include catering staff or any other vendors.
Can the venue be booked for a final walkthrough and/or ceremony rehearsal?
We’ll send you automated reminders when it’s time to schedule your final walkthrough and your ceremony rehearsal. We typically do final walkthroughs about two weeks before your wedding. We include one free hour for you to rehearse, but we cannot guarantee this to be the night before. It will be scheduled based on availability taking into account our other events. If we have another rental the day before your event, you are welcome to schedule your free hour on another day of the week.
Do you require a wedding planner or coordinator?
We do not require one but we highly suggest that you have one! Wedding planners or coordinators are essential for a seamless wedding day. Check out our list of preferred vendors to get the SWF hook-up on the best vendors around.
Do you require Event Insurance?
We do. Special Event Insurance can be purchased through your own insurance company or through online options like WedSafe and WedSure. (Event insurance is a one-time payment of about $150)
Do you require a Damage Deposit?
Yes, our Damage Deposit is $500 and is separate from your Venue Rental Fee. The Damage Deposit is fully refundable according to the provisions in your contract.
Can I use any vendors I’d like?
Yes, you are able to bring in any vendor you would like. They do need to be approved by our staff. The caterers and bartenders must be licensed and insured with documents on file in our office. Also, we have a list of preferred vendors that we love to work with that you will have full access to!
What is your alcohol policy?
If you are wanting to serve alcohol at your event you may use any bartending service you choose as long as they are licensed and insured. (SWF staff must approve of this vendor before your final payment) Sweet Water Farm also abides by Texas law which states events must have 1 bartender per 100 guests. We also require 1 security officer per every 100 guests. (Security will be chosen by SWF)
Who cleans the venue after our event?
Sweet Water Farm staff breaks down all tables and chairs, disposes of all trash bags, and performs the final cleaning. You’re required to clean up and collect your décor, rented décor, and personal items. You’re also responsible for ensuring you have a caterer or an assigned group of people to clear all dishes, food, and trash from your tables so you can collect table linens. You’ll take everything that you don’t want us to throw away the night of your wedding and we’ll take care of the rest!
Does Sweet Water Farm provide tables and chairs?
Absolutely! We provide 30 round tables for guest seating, 30 banquet tables, and up to 600 chairs. We have 300 White Resin chairs and 300 Madison Cross back chairs. All tables and chairs are included with your rental.
Do you set up tables and chairs for our event?
Most defiantly! Your ceremony and reception tables and chairs will be set up to the discussed layout prior to your arrival on the day of your event. Your wedding planner and setup team will just need to add any décor.
